...Cronenberg that is...some snippets from an interview with MTV about Cosmopolis winning the Movie Brawl...thanks to those of us here at 12months and our voting fingers ;-) (I guess probably the rest of the fandom too...)
"He's terrific. He deserves the
affection that the fans have for him. He's incredibly sweet, he's very
funny, he's very bright and he's also very knowledgeable about cinema. Not just
movies but the history of cinema. He knows a lot about it. He's just a
sweetheart. And he's totally professional. He's always right there. We had a
lot of fun shooting [the movie] because, as I say, he has a great sense of
humor. We just played a lot. I think that's a really great tone that's set for
everybody on the set. The lead actor has a really big influence on the tone of
the shoot. If you've got a guy who's very difficult and neurotic or whatever,
they can't help but affect everybody's day. But Rob is not like that. He's
just a ray of sunshine. In fact, he's in absolutely every scene
of the movie, so obviously his temperament would have a huge influence on how
the shoot went ... and it was a dream. It was a beautiful shoot."
"Well, and I think that's one of the things
that I meant when I said it was interesting. Because that's not the kind of
thing you would predict. But it was really terrific, and in that sense, they're
right. As I've said many times, if you're a "Twilight" fan,
then you might not be interested in "Cosmopolis" because Rob is not
Mr. Cullen. But if you're a Rob fan, then you've got to be interested
in "Cosmopolis," because you will see him as you have not
seen him before, for sure."
Full interview here....me
likey...can't wait to see more as this goes...hopefully some stills or
something soon? A lot of David's responses sound like things we've all been
saying for a while now and so many others don't see or don't want to see -
those Twilight haters out there who think that Rob is not really an
actor...this might just show some people what he's really all about :)
So after a bit of a drought, we got to see our man out in public at the People's Choice Awards last night...and to top it off Water for Elephants took home Favorite Drama Movie and Rob got up there to accept in his charming and humble way...
...some highlights of the show :)
...shows up in a ballcap (so Rob) and then takes it off to reveal a crew cut...kind of adorable and kind of sad at the same time...where's our sex hair??? Is this for a movie? If it's for a movie I'm totally ok with it...announcement please?
...arriving late...as usual...took it and his jacket off as he settled in next to Betty White..."one of the sexiest women in America"... (I'm not sure why Nick is looking so scared there....)
...I read somewhere that he requested this seat...he looks so very, truly happy...
Favorite Drama Movie - Water for Elephants...and Ashley got to present it to him..."I don't know why they asked me accept this..." - because everyone wants to see you, baby, that's why...
...not the best quality video...but I could listen to that accent all day long...
...that look...that watch...those hands...that slightly disheveled shirt look that makes me think he got dressed like 5 minutes before this show and that's why he was late...
Congratulations...you deserve it...so much...we'll show all the haters that you're so much more than just "that guy from the Twilight movies" (not that we don't love ourselves some Edward Cullen while we're at it...)
So after all was said and done with the burn notice/EP poster last night - kiTT suggested a little 007 action for our boy...so here's what we've got...sans his Bond girl...since we all want to fill that role...
...my first truly commissioned manip work comes to us from our friend kiTT...she asked me to do a little project for Kassie, combining one of her favorite shows and one of our favorite fic stories...it's not perfect - but not too shabby for my first piece of work...enjoy ladies!
original poster is this for anyone who hasn't see the show:
this one is a bit different from the previous trailer. i think the first line rob say's about having luck in paris is from a different cut. it sounds better (imho).
