Hello! Yes, it's been a while since we've posted. We apologize for our absence. Sometimes, RL just gets in the way despite our best intentions. In June, we got to meet some of our favorite fanfic authors at the Twific Meet Up. Some of the 12 Mos Gals got to spend some time together all in one place during the event, which we enjoyed thoroughly! We hope the next time we get together, our beloved kiTT and TwiWeasel can join us!!!
While we await the release of "The Rover", let's talk about current news, shall we?
We've seen a lot of Rob these past few days as he films his latest movie, "Map to the Stars", in Los Angeles.
***Alert: Spoilers ahead! ****
If you're not a spoiler h00r, please gather your carry on luggage and disembark ...Thanks for flying 12 Months of Rob Air. Come see us again...
(Rob on set Aug 20, 2013)
There are several plot synopsis' going around. According to Fandango, the film is about how "two Hollywood teen actors grow up to realize the spoils of their early careers in this satire from director, David Cronenberg and writer Bruce Wagner." (source: www.fandango.com)
IMDB describes the film as a "complex look at Hollywood and what it reveals about western culture." (source: www.imdb.com)
The film stars, not only our darling Rob, but John Cusack, Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowski and Carrie Fisher. An eclectic cast for sure!
Rob plays Jerome, a limo driver and aspiring actor who befriends Mia's character, Agatha. Agatha is described as a criminal pyromaniac recently released from a Sanatorium. We were graced with photos, courtesy of Robsessed, via Pattinsonlife (much much thanks!!), of Rob and Mia in an intimate moment outside the remains of one of Agatha's crime scenes. OH! A LEG HITCH!
We're convinced that Mr. Cronenberg understands the importance of the leg hitch.
We hope Ms. Wasikowski understands the position she's in...
This marks the second time Rob will work with David Cronenberg, known for such films as Scanners, The Fly and A History of Violence. Screenwriter Bruce Wagner has written scripts for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Scenes from the Class Struggle in Beverly Hills and was co-writer of the 2008-2010 Showtime series, Tracey Ullman's State of the Union. Mr. Wagner wrote the novel, Dead Stars (2012), based on the MttS script after plans for the film with Mr. Cronenberg fell through the first time.
The film is expected to be released in 2014 here in the U.S. Entertainment One is distributing the film in Canada.
Besides filming Map to the Stars, Rob's Dior Homme campaign is set to debut in September. He's one busy, busy man.
We can't wait to bring more Rob news as 2013 continues to be HIS year!
