  1. I suppose we can still hope for Rob and Blue October on BD2. Rob will at the very least be playing the piano for Renesmee's lullaby in the movie for Part 2. I do enjoy how they usually give us a score piece or 2 on the regular soundtrack, but I'm sure I'll be picking up the score as well when it comes out. I have all 3 other movies in both forms (and have made "in order" playlists on my iPod for all of them - yes, I'm that much of a dork...). I'm curious about the wedding version of Iron and Wine. I like the original song, and it's a nice tie in to have the dance from prom be (what I'm assuming is) their first dance at the wedding. That would make sense to me anyway as to where to put it. I'm also very excited to hear the Bruno Mars song tomorrow when it's officially released. I'm reading the names of some of these songs and trying to picture where they'll go. I like Christina Perri's music (Jar of Hears may be the one you all have heard of?) so that should be an interesting song - it's very "Twilight-y" in that I think she would have also been a movie #1 good fit. I don't know most of these other bands right now but I'll be you-tubing when I get home to get a feel for their sound. What's everyone else think of the list?

  2. I was dreaming big, so now I'm crashing down a bit. ;)

I really love Angus & Julia Stone, they are a sure thing when it comes to heart felt love songs, and I am also anxious to hear the Iron & Wine song. Just thinking about them dancing to that at their wedding brings tears to my eyes.

Thanks for posting it on here, Lauren. If you find any of the songs on youtube, please share. :)

  3. I guess we should have known yesterday's list was too good to be true, wishful thinking always is.
But I'm with you Meg, happy tears over the "Flightless Bird" wedding version. I wonder what that might mean, new words or just different arrangement? Either way, it's a good choice. I'm hoping, although it's not on the soundtrack and needn't be, DeBussy's clair de lune will be part of the wedding march or somewhere. I hope so.
I'm thrilled Carter Burwell is back, whatever he arranges and writes will be lovely I'm sure. (What's up with the title "Love Death Birth"?! hummmm?....says it all I guess.
As far as the other artists on the list, well, it will depend on what they've managed to write/sing. I'm
    open minded and can't wait.

  5. Edit to the above post....its not listening to the soundtrack songs themselves, just music from the bands so we can get an idea for the sound. Interesting that the Mia song is the Spanish version of the Bruno Mars song....I did translate the title in my head this afternoon but didn't put 2 and 2 together right away.....

  6. Where the heck is the "twilight cast member" on the soundtrack? Did they give Bruno, Mia or Carter a roll? Vamp or Wolf? Hopin' that there's atleast someone on bd2 soundtrack.

  8. Mia Maestro was basically the only one I knew of the new vamps coming in. She played Sydney's half sister on the show 'Alias' if any of you used to watch that. Vaughn!
Oh my dears, Alias was a kickass show as a show but add in sexy Vaughn and forbidden romance!

    SO I guess I undress for Vaughn, I mean I digress....digress.
